About public subsidy

When employees make use of the childcare and elderly care services for which their companies or the business owners assist with the cost, those companies are eligibile to receive a subsidy for child-raising and elderly care from the government.

Subsidy for child-raising and elderly care for small and medium companies: : 3/4 of the payment due (1/2 for elderly care); for other companies, 1/3 of the payment due
Note that subsidy is limited at 4,800,000yen per annum for small and medium size companies, and at 3,600,000 yen per annum for large size companies. Also, it is limited at 400,000yen per user at small and medium size companies, and at 300,000yen per user at large companies.
*Note that the subsidy rates and limits mentioned above are measures applied from February 1, 2009 through March 31, 2012. After April 1, 2012, the subsidy rate for child-raising for small and medium size companies will be 1/2.

By using discount coupons for the at-home childcare service support project, the user's cost can be reduced by 1,700 yen per use.
