In class, students read beginner stories such as Bob Bug and Other Stories and A Day With Baby.
These books introduce simple sentence patterns and familiar vocabulary while helping students connect words with pictures.
As they read together, students practice recognizing words, sounding out letters, and understanding the story’s meaning.
授業では、”Bob Bug and Other Stories” や “A Day With Baby” などの初級レベルのストーリーを読みます。
これらの本は、シンプルな文章パターンと身近な単語を紹介しながら、言葉とイラストを結びつけて理解する力を育てます。
みんなで一緒に読むことで、単語の認識、文字の音読、そしてストーリーの意味を理解する力を練習しています✨
Another important focus in our reading lessons is learning sight words.
Sight words are common words that appear very often in books, such as the, and, a, to, and is.
By learning to recognize these words instantly, students are able to read more smoothly and with greater confidence.
リーディングのレッスンでは、「サイトワード（頻出単語）」の学習にも力を入れています✏️
サイトワードとは、本📖の中でよく登場する単語のことで、the, and, a, to, is などがあります。
これらの単語をすぐに認識できるようになることで、お子様たちはよりスムーズに、自信を持って読むことができるようになります‼️
When reading stories like A Day With Baby, students also practice understanding simple sentences and describing what they see in the pictures.
For example, they may read sentences such as “Max is at home” or “This is a dog,” and then talk about what is happening in the illustration.
“A Day With Baby” のようなストーリーを読む際には、簡単な文章を理解し、絵の中で何が起きているのかを説明する練習も行います。
例えば、「Max is at home」や「This is a dog」といった文章を読み、その内容をイラスト📕を見ながら話し合います。
Through these activities, students gradually build their reading skills step by step.
More importantly, they begin to see reading not just as a school activity, but as something fun and exciting.
このような活動を通して、お子様たちは少しずつ段階的にリーディングの力を伸ばしていきます。
そして何より、読書📖を単なる勉強✏️としてではなく、楽しくワクワク🎵するものとして感じられるようになっていきます。
