今回は、アートクラスについてのご紹介です。
This time, we’d like to introduce our Art Class🎨
アートクラスは、子供の心・感性・思考・社会性を豊に育てるには欠かせない教育の一つとなります。
ALS広尾のアートクラスは、更にインターナショナルな感覚を身につけることができます。
Art class is an essential part of education that nurtures children’s hearts, creativity, thinking skills, and social development.

この日の授業のテーマは「The art of warli people」。
インドのマハーラーシュトラ州のワーリーという先住民族が、白い幾何学模様で自然や日常生活を描いている壁画アートについて触れました。
We explored the wall art of the Warli, an indigenous community from Maharashtra, India, who create images of nature and daily life using white geometric patterns.
まずは、みんなでMioko先生のお話を聞き、イメージを膨らませていきます。
First, everyone listened to Teacher Mioko’s story and let their imaginations grow as they pictured their own village in their minds.
その後、自分の好きな色の模造紙を選び、思い思いに選んだ家や木を貼って、自分だけの村を作っていきます。
After that, each child chose a sheet of colored paper they liked and began creating their own village by sticking the houses and trees they had picked, just the way they imagined.
どんどん、みんなの頭の中でイメージする村ができてきました！
Little by little, the village that everyone imagined in their minds started to take shape!
そして次は、先生があらかじめ消しゴムで作ってきてくれた、いろいろな動きをした人型や動物のスタンプを押していきます。
Next, the children began stamping figures of people and animals, which the teacher had specially carved out of erasers beforehand, showing all sorts of movements.
スタンプに満遍なくインクをつける難しさや、紙に押すときの力加減に苦戦しながらも、みんなMioko先生のサポートを受けながら少しずつ作品を完成させていきました。
Even though it was tricky to cover the stamps evenly with ink and to press them on the paper with just the right amount of force, everyone gradually created their artwork with support from Teacher Mioko.
みんな真剣な表情で、おしゃべりもせずに黙々と作品づくりに取り組んでいます。
Everyone was so focused, working quietly without chatting, completely absorbed in their creations.
そして、ついに出来上がったのが……
And finally, here’s what they made…
家の中だけに人のスタンプを押す子もいれば、木を囲むように配置する子、家の中にも外にもスタンプを押す子、逆さまに押して逆立ちしているように見せる子もいました。
4人家族の子は4人のスタンプを押し、犬を飼っている子は犬のスタンプも忘れずにぺったん！
一人ひとりの思いがつまった、素敵な作品が出来上がりました。
Some children placed their people stamps only inside the house, while others arranged them around the tree.
Some added people both inside and outside, and a few even stamped them upside down to look like they were doing handstands!
Children with four family members carefully added four people, and those who have a dog made sure to include a dog stamp too.
Each artwork became a wonderful reflection of every child’s imagination and their own story.
