Poppins started hosting an overseas training program in childcare at Harvard
University in June 2007. With the cooperation of Harvard University, one of
the most prestigious schools in the United States, participants attend
special lectures given by professors involved in the Project Zero Resarch in
early childhood education and receive practical training in childcare and
early childhood education at 6 childcare centers affiliated with the
university. Since these childcare centers are filled with the children of
university faculty members and researchers gathered from all over the world,
the early childhood education programs that are offered here not only are
international but also respond to the needs of those parents who hold a high
level of interest in education.

In addition, we also plan to visit several corporate daycare facilities in
the city of Boston. American firms consider the “support for childcare” not
only as a benefit package, but also as one of the recruitment strategies. We
hope that experience and insight you gain by visiting various types of
childcare centers that stay a step ahead of those in Japan will be an
assistance to improving the quality of your expertise.
