🌞A Day at ALS Hiroo: Summer Water Play 🛟
Summer is here, and at ALS Hiroo, water play is one of the best ways for our students to explore, experiment and have fun. Our students enjoyed playing in small pools of water with a variety of toys and tools, including buckets, shovels and other pool toys.
🍉Learning Through Water Play
As they played, the students began experimenting with different ways to use the toys.
-Which toys float?
-Which ones sink?
-How can we scoop the most water?
-How much water can a bucket hold?
The children tested their ideas, tried different methods and learned from what happened.
🪣Scoop, Pour and Experiment🪣
Using shovels and buckets, the students discovered that even a simple task like moving water can become a learning experience. They experimented with how to scoop water, how to carry it without spilling and how to pour it into different containers. Through play, they were developing coordination, problem-solving skills and an understanding of simple scientific concepts.
🍉Summer Learning at ALS Hiroo
Water play gives children the freedom to explore at their own pace. There is no single way to play with a bucket or shovel. Children can test their own ideas, make discoveries and learn from each other. Most importantly, they are learning through play, staying cool, and having lots of fun with water indoors! ☀️
